Urban Acid Frenzy formed in autumn 2008 with the intention of creating beautiful original music whilst engaging a good vibe with the punters. We are currently an instrumental band (Barr a cover and limited vocals on one track) but fully intend in recruiting a female vocalist very soon.
We were originally a 3 piece but have now got a sax/flute player and have recently acquired a percussionist to further amplify our sound. Our groove is a mixture of funk, rock, dance, jazz, soul and all things good!!! There is no pigeon hole for the Frenzy….. In fact there’s a good chance you will never have heard anything like it before. We are all about the groove and buzzing with the crowd – playing live is where it is at.
We are constantly working hard on new material and crafting our back catalogue, rehearsing weekly in LOFI. Urban Acid Frenzy continues to improve and evolve so we are always on the scout for new Urban Acid Friends. Every rehearsal brings something new to the table for us to work on. The music finds us; it’s already in the ether, waiting to be plucked and preened.
For a band that has been together for just over12 months we have set our goals high and achieved 90% of these goals. Our main objective was to set up our own nights to try and keep away from the standard 5 band schedule as we tend to find these are generally are a nightmare. To date we have managed to set up 3 nights of our own. Inevitable we had to embroil ourselves in the 5 band a night scene just to get our sound out there to the public. We have two more gigs up and coming and after these we then intend to stop gigging for a while to allow us to progress our sound and recruit new members, as we have a plan in mind. We will also be recording our first album soon “incidental music” which will consists of our current set of around 10 or 11 songs. It is also our intention to get a few festivals under our belts in 2010, not biggies but festivals like the Wickerman, west end festival, south side festival etc etc. Keep your eyes and ears open for more information on Urban Acid Frenzy. Our myspace page will be live soon once we have a decent recording of our current material to upload.

The Daywell
The Daywell are currently a 3-piece band who live, work, and drink fairly regularly in Glasgow.
They don't like to talk about their previous bands - it makes them feel ancient - but they'll get over it eventually.
The Daywell will be gigging somewhere close very soon - keep your eyes and ears peeled.
